Milan Connections Counseling
We all struggle, feel overwhelmed from time to time, and have a difficult time coping with the stress of everyday life or a particular problem we are facing. Most of the time, we figure out what we need to do by turning to family, friends; maybe search the Internet or read a magazine article. These sources are useful and often meet our needs. We make our choices and go on with life. Then there are times when an objective, trained perspective is beneficial in helping us navigate our way through a difficult time, improve our relationships, or just cope with the struggles of everyday life.
I understand that considering counseling can be a scary notion. Not many of us feel comfortable talking about our problems, our relationships, our mistakes, and our fears. Knowing how to start the search for a counselor, what to ask and what to expect, may seem daunting when you are already feeling overwhelmed.
Counseling is a process; a professional, caring and trusting relationship, tailored to individual client’s needs. My clients need to feel a connection with me, so that they can feel open to gaining insights, capable of making decisions, and courageous enough to make changes. I know and understand that you may be feeling embarrassed, angry, confused, depressed, anxious, or afraid. When you walk into my office, I hope you will feel at home, and comfortable enough to begin to talk, so I can listen, guide, and help. Together we can explore solutions in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.
I offer individual, couples, children and family counseling including, but not limited to the areas of:
- Academic difficulties
- Grief and loss
- Relationship issues
